Biography

Karen Dell was Head of sustainability at the Department of Energy and Climate Change from 2010 to 2015.  She was responsible for making the Department an exemplar in energy and carbon management.  During this period the Department reduced its carbon emissions by 26% through a range of energy saving measures including the installation of LED lighting delivered through the Mayor of London’s RE:FIT programme.

Karen is now Senior Sustainability Manager responsible for delivering sustainable operations across three Government departments, the Department for Education, the Department for Communities and Local Government as well as the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
