Clive Wilson


Director of Estates and Facilities, University of Bradford


Clive is currently the Director of Estates and Facilities at the University of Bradford where he is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the University’s estate and facility services.  He is  also responsible for developing the new ten year£260m Estates Strategy after delivering the £120m strategy 2004 – 2014 which included three of the most sustainable buildings in the world and the first passivehaus laboratory.

He was the founding architect in developing the notion of the University becoming the first Ecoversity in Europe and taking the university to be be the fourth greenest university in the world.  This was an ambitious programme across all areas of the University which also included enabling students to experience (and propergate) a sustainable lifestyle in a 1,000 bed sustainable student village on the main city campus in Bradford.

Originally from Leicester, he has worked for building contractors, LA’s and banks before moving to Hong Kong in 1998 where he worked as an Assistant Director of Estates for the University of Hong Kong and later as a Senior Lecturer for the Hong Kong Polytechnic.
