During 2014 and 2015 Lincolnshire County Council installed boiler controls to over 1,000 boilers within their school estate in a drive to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions. The latest measurement and verification has is showing a 13% reduction in the heating and hot water costs within the schools.

The project is unique in a number of ways 1) the way Lincolnshire County Council funded the project and gained buy-in from the Education department and headmasters, 2) it is believed to the biggest project of its kind in the UK and Europe.
